The Black Sheep

27 Jul

Seeming of no value
the so-called black sheep
Failing to behave as expected
Flagrant disobedience: their recognised flagship

Up until when he proved them wrong
They did nothing but underrate
Even when he did try to please
Nothing did they do but berate

Yet he held faith in himself
That “though you write me off, i refuse to do so”
Through time and chance, he clained his own
Till nobody could utter the words “i told you so”

Cos none could imagine a victory so great
From one whom they had called a failure
Even before he started running,
He got that for which he was aiming
